Renault Clio 5: some mechanical problems
The Renault Clio 5 does not suffer no serious major mechanical problems, which may call into question your choice. In fact, the problems of faulty segmentation of Renault’s 1.2 liter TCe petrol block, which caused engine failures, are now a thing of the past.
The 1.0 liter (65 to 100 hp) and 1.3 liter (130 hp) petrol engines seem well born. For the diesel engineswe only notice a strong oil pull, which can occur during the first 10,000 km: a sensitive point to watch.

Renault Clio 5: Electronic problems
As with all modern cars, the Renault Clio 5 suffers from some electronic problems, particularly in the area of Air conditioning : indeed, it sometimes exhibits erratic operation. This is due to a fault in the compressor, or even in the control unit: sensitive elements must also be monitored.
